But he's not sure if he should tell his friends. On one hand he doesn't really care, he knows they will still accept him for who he is. But on the other hand he is scared and nervouse. What if they treat him differently? So he keeps going on, chatting with his crush, Blue, who he hasn't met in real life, yet. But he wants to he really does, when someday his classmate turns up and wants to blackmail Simone. What will he do? Quriky book, with lots of smiles but never boring!

This has been my second time reading this book and it was still as amazing as I remember. I fell in love with this book all over again, this was so much fun! I fell in love with this book all over again, this was so much fun! Simon is just as freakingly cute and adorable and fluffy and perfect as the first time reading this book. I love Simon, I love Blue, I love Leah, Abby, Nick, Simon's whole family, just about everybody. I loved how Simon and Blue fell in love without having seen each other in person but coming to love one another for who they truly are. It sounds like the focus is heavy on romance but it isn't, though when it was I was always flailing and gushing at the cuteness. This book is also very much about family and friendship which made this book even more awesome. I furthermore liked that Simon was in drama club and we had scenes of rehearsal and the play. I am not a big fan of Dickens myself but to see them rehearse Oliver! was fun. Overall, this book is so very funny! Also, Simon and Abby are Potterheads! Two of my favourite quotes: “Why is straight the default? Everyone should have to declare one way or another, and it shouldn't be this big awkward thing whether you're straight, gay, bi, or whatever. I'm just saying.” “White shouldn't be the default any more than straight should be the default. There shouldn't even be a default.” And: I am very excited about the movie adaptation next year, I cannot wait!

Coming out of your shell, coming out of the closet and coming of age. Looking for love can be hard when you're looking for yourself still. One of my favorites of 2016!
