Good soup

Bewertung am 25.04.2022

Bewertungsnummer: 1701256

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

We have read the book in school and most of the students gave good feedback. The book deals with topics such as racism in the US, Police brutality, Gang violence, drug abuse, the civil rights movements, PTSD and furthermore. I recommend it for students when talking about topics like racism and minorities, or social problems in the US in general. While reading you can feel what the characters feel and understand how people living in the ghetto might feel.

My take on the Book

Bewertung am 25.04.2022

Bewertungsnummer: 1701252

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

In my opinion it was an interesting take on the Topic of Racism and Gang/Thug Life and Police Brutality, but I only give it 3 Stars not because it isn't my taste but because if you only include the relevant details of the Book, the Book would be much shorter and sitting through all the details that I had no interest in and didn't progress the story, it was just a bit boring for me. And although the story was stretched out so much as I mentioned it was an interesting take on the topic and it was well and understandably written, but still only 3 Stars.
