A promising beginning.

After the disappearance of his son, Jonah Colley is not the same his life seems to derail at high speed. When he’s asked for help Colley follows his instincts and comes to his friend’s aid, despite the peculiar meeting place. What he thought was a meeting with a long-lost friend turned into a nightmare, one he seeks to wake up. The story starts in a rather back-and-forth manner, but the suspension from the beginning keeps up. In the middle of the book, the story picks up momentum and doesn’t cease. Jonah Colley seems to follow one rule, that rules can be broken and he bears the consequences with courage. He only sees the good behind his actions, no matter if he falls. He believes that good prevails. A promising start of a new series. After only one book I can’t see similarities to the David Hunter series. Although both characters have quite powerful properties but not have the same professional background. I’m curious to discover more facets of Jonah Colley, definitely worth giving it a try.
