Gild, Glint and Gleam, Sunday Times bestsellers, April 2023
This book is about everything and nothing at the same time. Heard, that it should get better after book one. Certain scenes were just extremely dragged out and sometimes unnecessary.

Fazit. Berührend, voller Kostbarkeiten aus Gold und Menschlichkeit. Ein muss, gelesen zu werden.
Das Buch hat von mir 5/5bekommen.

Review (english)
„Gild“, from Raven Kennedy, is my first book from the author and was many times recomended to me. So I gave it a try.
Gild is not an easey book. Or a easy story. And not in the way you think. It is really complicated because of the golden, dark world, which we are dropped in and seeing everything. It is twistes, full of foul language, banter, facts, moral dilemmas and a kingdom, which is one the brink of war. Maybe also igniting it. That has to be seen. And in all that, we get to know Auren, the protoganist. She is, to slimpfy everything, a wounded women, who has retracted from the world, because it was so terrible to her and everthing she loved. And since than, she has been living a live desgined by her king. And for years, that was okay, until the moment everything changend. Auren had to confront fears, unsolved issues and the questsion, is she free? And that had a really big impact on me. It made her in my eyes understandable, sympatehic and even witty-strong in her ways. The side-characters were also full of live, emotions and story, which have been told or are still in the way of it The writing was a hook. It anchored itself in me and just pulled me along. Like, yeah. The world itself is full of magic, in an knew and exciting kind and become more and more prominence, as the book went further. And the actionscens and cruelty, were also of my taste.
So, to sum everything up,
I gave the book 5/5.
Lots of Love, rosarium
