The War of the Worlds is a science fiction novel by English author H. G. Wells, first serialized in 1897 by Pearson's Magazine in the UK and by Cosmopolitan magazine in the US.

Written between 1895 and 1897, it is one of the earliest stories to detail a conflict between mankind and an extraterrestrial race.

A short book but not so quick read

Bewertet: Format: eBook (ePUB)

This book is part of books I view as classics I have to read at some point. It is not very long and follows a young man when strange objects land on earth and release its extraterrestrial owners into the world. The storytelling is very slow and confusing, the character didn't make me feel for/with him and even though it's quit... This book is part of books I view as classics I have to read at some point. It is not very long and follows a young man when strange objects land on earth and release its extraterrestrial owners into the world. The storytelling is very slow and confusing, the character didn't make me feel for/with him and even though it's quite a short story I had problems with finishing it due to the writing and incidents that were all over the place.
