Beschreibung

Shaun Bythell, Scotland's grumpiest bookseller, is back, with seven witty and affectionate portraits of bookshop regulars.

Shaun Bythell bought The Bookshop in Wigtown on 1 November 2001, and has been running it ever since with an increasing passion for the business, matched only by a sense of despair for its future, and an ill-humour inspired by almost two decades of dealing with confused customers and surly staff. His internationally-bestselling books The Diary of a Bookseller and Confessions of a Bookseller have been translated into over twenty languages, including Russian, Korean and French.

The seven kinds of people you find in The Bookshop of Shaun Bythell

In his short third book Shaun Bythell gives an outline of the many customers that he observes during his years as a bookseller and puts them in different categories. Like his first two books his observances are a delight to read with that typical British cynical black humour – funny and on point. Too bad it was so short. I would've enjoyed letting my mind stay a bit longer in The Bookshop in Wigtown.
