The Story of Success

Why do some people achieve so much more than others? Can they lie so far out of the ordinary? Malcolm Gladwell looks at everyone from rock stars to scientific geniuses to show that the story of success is far more surprising, and inspiring, than we ever imagined.

'Malcolm Gladwell ... has a genius for making everything he writes seem like an impossible adventure' Tim Adams, Observer

'The best kind of writer - the kind who makes you feel like you're a genius, rather than he's a genius' Dominic Maxwell, The Times

'I wanted to cheer or clap' William Leith, Evening Standard

'Fizzingly entertaining and enlightening' Harry Ritchie, Daily Mail

The mysterious secret

„The story of success“, as the book is also called, is a book about single people who succeed. Malcolm Gladwell clears us up, why those are successful. This is something what people always wanted to know and Gladwell most probably knew this. Malcolm Gladwell clears us up, why those are successful. This is something what people always wanted to know and Gladwell most probably knew this. As a reader I like the way of telling and I was also interested in the secret of success. So, if you want to know the secret, like me, you will have to read the book. It doesn't helps you if you read any stupid summary. According to myself, I don't want to read this book again. I think that's not because it doesn't solves us the mystery of being successful. It's probably because the solution is too simple and the book reads slowly.

Malcolm Gladwell has chosen a fascinating approach to analyze successfull people or the way he puts it, people with success. It's at large steakes a matter of opportunities. The perspectives he provides regarding ethnicity, legal policies, IQ, family patterns and time of birth are more than just interesting, they provide an illuminating evidence, that life is a miracle but not as miraculous as many of us think. If you're curious about life and why things are the way they seem, Outliers will almost certainly provide joy and short evenings to you. Have fun.
