Charley Harper Colors

The newest edition to our line of CHARLEY HARPER board books is CHARLEY HARPER COLORS. This lovely book helps youngsters identify colors through vivid illustrations that capture their imagination. Early readers can also recognize the written names of the colors, as each one is spelled out in its corresponding color.

ILLUSTRATOR BIO For over four decades, Charley Harper (1922-2007) provided art collectors with unique views of the natural world. In a style that Charley called "minimal realism," the artist created stylized drawings and paintings that captured the essence of his subjects using the fewest possible elements. He explained, "I don't count the feathers; I just count the wings."

DESIGNER BIO

Gloria Fowler is the Design Director of AMMO Books, a long time instructor at Art Center College of Design, and a mom with two kids. She is the designer of a line of children's books and toys featuring the work of artist Charley Harper.
