Slammed ist ein tolles Debüt von Colleen Hoover. Die Liebesgeschichte von Layken und Will ist sehr süß und romantisch, besonders für jüngere Mädchen bestimmt interessant. Ihre neueren Bücher finde ich persönlich jedoch deutlich stärker.

After countless recommendations by friends, I finally came around to reading this book and I am glad about it, because I really enjoyed it. After her father's death Layken and her family move from Texas to Michigan, which she isn't too happy about. Luckily, she meets a nice guy pretty much the moment she arrives and decides that maybe, just maybe, the move isn't that bad after all. That's before they realize Will is her teacher, though. As if that wasn't enough already, the news just becomes worse and worse and Layken's world starts to crumble... Colleen Hoover's first installment of the "Slammed" series is a wonderful read that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, I cried, was excited and devastated whilst reading the book. I really took the characters to my heart and also liked the fact that literature, or rather poetry, plays a pretty big role throughout the novel. I recommend this book to young adults who enjoy romantic and dramatic reads.
