Baldacci, D: No Man's Land

A Killer Too Close to Home

'Yet another winner . . . The excitement builds . . . The plot's many planted bombs explode unpredictably'
New York Times

One man demands justice . . .

John Puller is the US army's most tenacious investigator, but there has always been one mystery which has eluded him - the disappearance of his mother, who vanished without a trace thirty years ago. When disturbing new evidence comes to light suggesting his father - a distinguished army veteran - may have murdered her, Puller sets out with his friend, intelligence operative Veronica Knox, to discover what really happened on that fateful night.

. . . the other seeks revenge

Paul Rogers has spent ten years in a high-security prison for murder when he is released on parole. Harbouring a dark past and old debts that have changed him in unimaginable ways, Rogers embarks on a journey across the country, set on a path of revenge against the people who took away his humanity.

As both men uncover a trail of deception that stretches back decades, they soon realize that the truth will bind them together in ways they could never have imagined.

'One of the world's biggest-selling thriller writers, Baldacci needs no introduction . . . Brilliant plotting, heart-grabbing action and characters to die for'
Daily Mail

...kann ich jetzt schon sagen obwohl ich erst die Hälfte gelesen habe. Allerdings sollte man Erfahrung haben, aktuelles Amerikanisch zu lesen.
