So this is the first Murakami book I've read and it's... weird? Like, the first half or so was a good kind of weird. It was interesting and new and different. And then it started drifting off into a not-so-good-kind-of-weird. I guess Kafka's Oedipus-like prophecy was too much for me. Just like that cat-scene. That was definitely...

Oh lord, that cat-scene.
Well, regardless, I liked his writing style - or rather the way it was translated. Quite some nice quotes plus his way of describing things is nice.

Philosophisch anspruchsvoll.
