This book might be a 50/50 in the reading community: you love it or hate it. Parker has a very distinct way of writing. Prose that seems to be lyrical in places, where it doesn't need to be. That's what costed the book a star for me. The worldbuilding is intricate, the story compelling and the characters get proper arcs and time to emotionally evolve. I personally do not like excplicit scenes and am glad that I can just skip them without losing context of the story. The perfect read for an easy evening snuggled up in your favourite blanket.
