Meine letzte Rezension The Strength of the Few von James Islington
Ah, what to say about the book that has changed how I've read every single book in it's wake? Look, I really enjoyed The Will of the Many. I even claimed it to be my favourite book of 2025 (which is impressive because I actually managed to read more than one book the entire year!!). But Strength of the Few absolutely SMASHED it out of the park. The twists? The stakes?? The overly convoluted parallel timelines??? This book brought it ALL. Vis continues his story(ies?) after passing the Iudicium in Book 1. But nothing is like it seems anymore. How does he know who to trust? With his fate split apart and the tragic events in the final trial weighing heavy on his mind, will he be able to pull through and finish what he started? Don't miss out on the second book in the Hierarchy series! Hail, constant reader.

    The Dark Tower 1. The Gunslinger

    This fantasy/sci-fi novel takes it's inspiration from the classic spaghetti-westerns of the 60s and 70s; with a fantastic King-esque twist to it. The entire Dark Tower series is a literary masterpiece and I highly recommend it to all fans of horror, fantasy, science-fiction and, of course, our beloved westerns.

    The Last Kids on Earth

    Max Brallier has achieved the impossible; he created a kids book that's funny without being cringe, interesting without info-dumping and it actually has you on the edge of your seat for the entire ride! The Last Kids on Earth is one of my favourite series ever (and yes, I am and adult...). Guaranteed fun for kids and parents alike!

    Pierce Brown created an incredible start into a groundbreaking series with this novel. From the convoluted characters over the imaginative world-building all the way to a gripping, fast-paced story; this book has everything!

    The Will of the Many

    'The Will of the Many' is one of those books you don't forget easily. In this novel, Islington elegantly combines magnificent worldbuilding, complex, loveable characters and a thrilling narrative, all the while exploring difficult topics like the aftermath of colonialism. Genuinely one of the best Fantasy books I've ever read!

    Project Hail Mary

    ...befriend the strange spider alien? In my opinion, Project Hail Mary beats The Martian by a landslide. In typical Andy Weir-fashion, our protagonist is a 30/40-something-year-old with sweaty palms and an (at best) awkward sense of humor; coincidentally, he is also the best person for the job he's set to do. Project Hail Mary is an emotional rollercoaster that will have you howling with laughter one moment and bawling your eyes out the next. Enjoy it with a healthy dose of sci-fi jabber...

    Rendezvous With Rama

    The godfather of science fiction delivers a unique and beautiful little novel in the form of Rendevouz with Rama. The focus of this story is not epic space wars (although there's a little touch of that as well), in-depth character analysis or telenovela-esque dramatics between characters (disregarding the following books in the series...), but something much simpler: the early 70s, post-moon-landing fascination with space. Clarke paints a beautiful picture of this literally otherwordly spaceship named Rama, and it's a race against time to discover all of her wonders and secrets before she's out of orbit. A must-read for all fans of Science-Fiction!

    Fairy Tale

    My favourite book in the entire world! Stephen King is a master at his craft- and while I thoroughly enjoy his crime and horror books, this fantastical tale is absolutely my favourite of his. Fantasy-enjoyers, do yourself a favor and read this!
