If you see the cover and read the blurb, you'd definitely expect a crime novel or a thriller. But don't let that fool you! "And Then We Screamed" is much more than that. It's an emotional story with an important message about friendship, trust, and finding your own voice. Holly Bourne does a great job of showing the thoughts and feelings of teenage girls. The characters feel real, and their struggles are easy to understand. I quickly connected with them and cared about what happened next. The story grabbed me from the very first pages and kept me interested until the end. There are many emotional moments, but also scenes that make you think. Trust me, the ending definitely doesn't disappoint. This book is powerful, moving, and stays with you long after you've finished reading.
