An excellent title in the series

When a woman is murdered it soon turns out to be personal for Eve Dallas: The victim was a cop and the girlfriend of one of Eve's colleagues and friends. Since it's obvious she knew the killer, the question is whether she was murdered by a former lover, the son of a dangerous criminal Eve sent to prison, or by her own colleagues. Eve's own life is at risk, and she and Rourke have to work together to solve the case. This was a very good case in the Eve Dallas-series and I also enjoyed the fact that the relationship between Eve and Rourke was given some space. Since the case was personal, there was also quite a lot of intensity. The titles in the series are always worth reading, but this one was above the already good average.
