Most of the cities have a common problem-the existence of street children. In the last decade, this phenomenon has grown at an alarming rate particularly in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The problem is related to many factors such as acute poverty, urban migration, homelessness, civil war. The aim of the research was to understand the underlying causes of their present life, the impact of education to improve their life and how visible efforts can at least provide basic education to the deprived children. The findings of the study, in various ways, can be replicated in other cities for ensuring a better life for the street children.
