Does religion contribute to high prevalence of risky behaviours (e.g.,Risky sexual activity, excessive alcohol consumption, drug abuse, reckless driving, and mountain climbing)?. Risky behaviours have long been a source of debate due to the risks involved to not only the individuals committing the acts, but also innocent bystanders. Most humans understand those risks. Yet, risky behaviours continue to escalate, particularly among young adults, 18-25 years old. According to Professor Zuckerman, who discovered a sensation seeking personality, which is strongly based on genetic factor, that paradox has emerged due to such personality, which drives people to take risky behaviours.A lot of research has examined religion and risky behaviours. Yet, there is none study that analyzed religion and sensation seeking. This book has investigated and elaborated those two variables. It has revealed that religion has a significant impact on reducing one's level of sensation seeking and, therefore, scales down risky behaviours. With respect to that, the implication of a young Muslim male as threat to society, particularly western society, is a counter intuitive.
