Hilde de Ridder-Symoens, Ph.D. (1969) Ghent University, collaborator of the Premier et Troisieme Livre des procurateurs de la nation germanique de l'Universite d'Orleans (Brill 1971, 2013). Em. professor in medieval and early modern history at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Universiteit Gent. She has published on university history and schooling in Europe and especially the Low Countries.
