This study is basically the comparison of two learning systems i.e. Scaffolding based self-regulated learning system and Formal learning system. Multiple method research design has been used. First, the merits and demerits of both learning systems were determined through MSLQ. It consists of five facets. . Cognitive and meta-cognitive strategies. . Time and study environment. . Effort regulation . Peer learning . Help seeking Chi-square goodness of fits test was used to analyze the descriptive data. Second, the academic achievement of the students are tested by pre-test and posttest. Camparison group design was used and compared by using paired sample t-test. Scaffolding based self-regulated learning system showed better results i.e. showed improvement than Formal system of learning.
