Fascinating concept

Sabrina aus Wien am 17.01.2019

Bewertungsnummer: 383333

Bewertet: eBook (ePUB)

If you had nine lives, how would you spend them? What sounds unbelievable to us, is reality for Julian. He lives in a parallel world where everybody has nine lives. But due to overpopulation, food shortages and droughts, citizens are ordered to extinguish their lives at certain times and ages. Julian himself refuses to abide by that law, but how long will he be able to do so? When people start permadying prematurely he starts to investigate and uncovers some horrible truths… Going into this novel I didn't quite know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The plot is pretty original and the main character relatable. What I will say, though, is that this debut novel, as fascinating as it is, probably isn't the best pick for people who are struggling with suicidal thoughts since it might include some triggers. I recommend this novel to teens who enjoy dystopian fiction.
