The present study is concerned with conducting a critical discourse analysis of dictatorship in the novella of Animal Farm of George Orwell. The study aims to deal with ideological discourse analysis, syntactic and semantic analyses of selected speeches of major characters in Animal Farm's text. It also aims at investigating the notion of dictatorship by analyzing Animal Farm dealing with ideological square with positive- self presentation and negative- other presentation of selected speeches of major characters.
