Dr. A. Praveen Kumar is presently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRM Easwari Engineering College. He acquired distinction in bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering) and university first rank in master’s degree (Engineering Design) from Anna University, Chennai. He completed his Ph.D. degree in the area of crashworthiness of thin-walled structures from Anna University, Chennai. He has 5 years of teaching and research experience. His major areas of research interests include metal forming simulation, composite materials and structures, impact loading of hybrid tubes, additive manufacturing, and use of lightweight materials in automotive applications. He has authored a book titled “Mechanical behaviour of hybrid jute/glass polymer composites” and co-authored a book titled “Development of Labyrinth Type Solar Thermal Energy Storage System” in Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany. He edited a book “High Performance composite structures” inspringer publications. He has published 65 research papers in reputed international journals and presented 15 papers in international/national conferences. He is currently serving as Guest Editor in Materials Today Proceedings, Elsevier publications, and Editorial Board Member in Journal of Transactions on Advancements in Science and Technology. He is acting as Reviewer in reputed journals like Thin-walled structures, Journal of Industrial Textiles, International Journal of Crashworthiness, International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, and The Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering. He is also Life Member of various professional bodies including Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Association of Machines and Mechanisms (AMM), International Association of Engineers (IAE), and Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME).

 

Dr. Tatacipta Dirgantara is presently Professor of Computational Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (FMAE-ITB), Indonesia. Since June 2020, he has been appointed as Dean of FMAE-ITB. He obtained both his bachelor’s and post-graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung and completed his Ph.D. degree from Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom. He is also registered as Professional Engineer from the Institution of Engineers Indonesia and ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations. He has more than 20 years’ experiences in research, teaching, consultancy, and training assignment at national as well as international level in the area of solid and structural mechanics, computational and experimental mechanics, fracture mechanics, and biomechanics. He has contributed towards more than 80 research papers in international and national journals and conferences and owns several patents. He has authored a book titled “Boundary Element Analysis of Crack in Shear Deformable Plates and Shells” and co-authored a book titled “Boundary Element Methods in Engineering and Sciences, Computational and Experimental Methods in Structures”. He is currently Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Engineering and Technological Sciences. He has also supervised more than 100 undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students.

 

Dr. Sanjay Mavinkere Rangappa is currently working as Senior Research Scientist and also “Advisor within the office of the President for University Promotion and Development towards International goals” at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Bangkok, Thailand. He has received the B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) in the year 2010, M.Tech. (Computational Analysis in Mechanical Sciences) in the year 2013, and Ph.D. (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Science) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India, in the year 2018 and post-soctorate from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand, in the year 2019. Heis Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (India), and also acting as Board Member of various international journals in the fields of materials science and composites. He is Reviewer for more than 85 international journals (for Nature, Elsevier, Springer, Sage, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, American Society for Testing and Materials, American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, IOP, Hindawi, NC State Univesity USA, ASM International, Emerald Group, Bentham Science Publishers, Universiti Putra, Malaysia) and also Reviewer for book proposals and international conferences. In addition, he has published more than 140 articles in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals indexed by SCI/Scopus, 5 editorial corners, 40 book chapters, one book, and 15 books as Editor (Published by lead publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley) and also presented research papers at national/international conferences. He has delivered many keynote and invited talks in various international conferences and workshops. His current research areas include Natural Fibre Composites, Polymer Composites, and Advanced Material Technology. He is a recipient of the DAAD Academic exchange-PPP Programme between Thailand and Germany at Institute of Composite Materials, University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. He has received a “Top Peer Reviewer 2019” Award, Global Peer Review Awards, powered by Publons, Web of Science Group. The KMUTNB selected him for the “Outstanding Young Researcher” Award 2020. He is recognized by Stanford University’s list of the world’s top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists in Single Year Citation Impact 2019.
