Prof. Vinod Ravindran is a consultant rheumatologist and director of Centre for Rheumatology, Calicut, Kerala and an adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He was trained in internal medicine in India and the UK. He had Rheumatology specialist training at London and also obtained a master’s degree in Rheumatology from the King’s College at London, UK. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He is an associate editor of Rheumatology-Oxford and is also on the editorial board of several scientific journals. He was the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (2018-2021) and the Indian Journal of Rheumatology (2016-2018).He has edited/co-edited 3 journal supplements and 10 books, has contributed 24 book chapters and published over 100 papers. He is a thesis guide for the Manipal University, India and Cardiff University, UK;  an International MRCP (UK)-PACES Examiner and regularly evaluates abstracts for the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) and the British Society for Rheumatology (BSR) annual meetings. He is a recipient of the Nature Travel Award (2012), the EULAR scientific travel fellowship, and the BSR Travelling Fellowship (2007). His main interest within rheumatology are Rheumatoid Arthritis—education & awareness, high-risk Lupus pregnancies, Meta-analysis and Cutaneous vasculitis. In addition, he has a keen interest in promoting the art and science of scientific writing and raising awareness regarding the ethical aspects of biomedical publications and has published widely in the aforementioned areas.

Dr. Sham Santhanam is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Gleneagles Global & Vijaya Hospitals and is the Director of Sham’s Rheumatic Care Centre, Chennai. He had his Internal Medicine training at Kasturba Medical College (Mangalore) and Rheumatology training at Madras Medical College (Chennai). He has the MRCP (UK), Specialty Certificate Examination in Rheumatology (RCP UK) and the European (EULAR) Certification exam for Rheumatology. He was the recipient of Indo UK travelling fellowship in 2016. He has contributed to the Indian Journal of Rheumatology in various capacities and currently is the ‘Associate Editor’. He is also an editorial board member of ‘ Rheumatology Advances in Practice (an Oxford University Press Journal)’. His areas of interest are vasculitis, interstitial lung disease & musculoskeletal ultrasound. He has been the editor for the ICP-API Monograph on Rheumatic rarities, Monograph on Osteoarthritis and has published several articles on the broad range of topics within rheumatology.

Dr. Mohit Goyal completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from RNT Medical College, Udaipur. He did his fellowship in rheumatology at Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital, New Delhi. He is a trained musculoskeletal ultrasound (EULAR) expert. He has more than 20 publications in indexed, peer-reviewed national and international journals and eight chapters in widely read books. He served as an executive editor of the Handbook of Osteoarthritis (2021), is an Assistant Editor of the Indian Journal of Rheumatology, an editorial board member of Rheumatology Advances in Practice (Oxford) and a reviewer for various international journals. He has been a faculty and a judge for paper and poster sessions at various national and international conferences. Areas of his special interest include scientific writing, critical appraisal, editing, patient reported outcomes, rheumatic disease awareness and rehabilitation. He currently works as a Consultant Rheumatologist at CARE Pain & Arthritis Centre, Goyal Hospital, Udaipur.
