Gewöhnungsbedürftig

Murakamis Bücher sind wirklich eine sehr besondere Art von Büchern. Meist behandeln sie ziemlich groteske Themen aber trotzdem sind die Bücher meiner Meinung nach unglaublich simpel aber perfekt geschrieben und seine Bücher geben einem wirklich sehr wichtige Lebensweisheiten mit :)

Where does he find them? He, observer of people with supreme accuracy, is building stories out of own experience, observation and mixing it with fantasy elements. Dear reader, you have doubts? How else would he do it?--- Huge load of entertainment, funny, not deep enough to be touching like Naokos Smile. However, you are in the mood for entering the rocket to planet entertainus, a bonfire of funmusement put together with finest author skills, then: hayoku ( hurry up), get Kafka on the Shore von Haruki Murakami - and one for me too!

Ein unglaubliches Buch, mit…

Ein unglaubliches Buch, mit einfacher, bildreicher und eindrücklicher Sprache, die das Lesen angenehm leichtgängig macht. Der Interpretationsspielraum ist groß und dem Leser frei überlassen, sodass ein zweites Lesen des Buches unglaublich viel Spaß macht.

...weird

So this is the first Murakami book I've read and it's... weird? Like, the first half or so was a good kind of weird. It was interesting and new and different. And then it started drifting off into a not-so-good-kind-of-weird. I guess Kafka's Oedipus-like prophecy was too much for me. Just like that cat-scene. That was definitely too much for me. Oh lord, that cat-scene. Well, regardless, I liked his writing style - or rather the way it was translated. Quite some nice quotes plus his way of describing things is nice.
