This paper deals with the effects of climate change on the length of the season and snow reliability in Tyrolean ski tourism and presents a forecast for the future. The paper begins by explaining Tyrolean ski tourism and presenting basic tourism figures. It discusses the changes in the climate in Tyrol to date and presents a forecast for the next 85 years. Furthermore, the ecological effects of climate change in Tyrol are explained. The changes in temperature, precipitation, snow line, snow cover structure, snow reliability and snow cover duration are discussed in more detail. Subsequently, the ecological effects of ski tourism in Tyrol are discussed. In this regard, the effects on ski resorts and future guest behaviour are discussed. In order to respond to climate change, long-term and short-term adaptation measures for Tyrolean ski tourism are explained. The final part of the thesis discusses the resulting future trends in Tyrolean ski tourism.
