Progress in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Brainstem Glioma

Liwei Zhang, chief physician, professor, doctoral supervisor of Capital Medical University, expert enjoying special government allowances of the State Council, and expert with outstanding contributions of the National Health Commission. Currently, he is the member of Academia Europaea and the Honorary Fellow of College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. He have worked in neurosurgery for 40 years, mainly engaged in clinical and basic researches on brainstem and skull base tumors. He have achieved outstanding achievements in the clinical application of key technologies in brainstem and skull base tumors, and currently hold an international leading position in the field of treatment and research on brainstem gliomas.
