Leadership and Governance in Healthcare in Africa Theory, Practice, and Emerging Perspectives

Patience Aseweh Abor  is a Professor of Health Policy and Management at the University of Ghana Business School. She has held Visiting Professor positions at the Chester Business School, University of Chester, UK and the School of Management, The University at Buffalo, USA. She holds a PhD in Management from the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, UK ,MPhil in Health Services Management and BSc Nursing from the University of Ghana . She is a member of the Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy (PAGE) and serves on the boards of some companies. She has also contributed chapters in books published by Palgrave Macmillan and Routledge. She is also a Director and Senior Consultant with the Corporate Support Group Ltd (a management, financial and economic consulting firm) and has consulted for some international and local institutions including, the World Health Organization, International Finance Corporation, African Development Bank (AfDB), Ghana Oil and Gas for Inclusive Growth, Ghana Ports and Habours Authority, and Trust Group of Companies.
