Meine letzte Rezension Hedgewitch: Woodwitch von Skye McKenna
The world is getting richer and the stakes are getting higher and the friendships are getting deeper and the mystery even more mysterious. This book is the perfect sequel and this series is still my middle grade fantasy obsession. I cannot get enough! ✨

    The Vegetarian

Not gonna lie, this is my favorite book. Three years ago, I read it for the first time. This year I read it again and it remains my favorite book. I love to see how strong women can be and how they show the problems our societies still have today. I don't really want to say more about it, except that it might be a little weird sometimes. (P.S. you don't have to be vegetarian or vegan to enjoy this book, so don't be scared, it's about so much more)

Schwab, V: Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

This book ist just so incredible, I get emotional just by talking about how much I love it. It is a wonderful blend of fantasy, historical fiction and contemporary fiction. The writing style is so beautiful and the main characters are all some of my absolute favorite book characters ever. As a woman, you can fully relate to Addie and understand why she made that deal with the “devil”. The book is about freedom, about love and most importantly about loneliness. V.E. Schwab captures the feeling of loneliness so very well that it hurts. The book has also the most beautiful ending I’ve ever read. It is my 5th book by V.E. Schwab and by far the best, even though I love all of them. I confess that the book is a bit slow, but it suits the story perfectly. I highly highly recommend “The invisible Life of Addie LaRue”!

    Milk Teeth

At the beginning of this book I struggled a bit with the writing style. I'm used to simple sentences with strong meanings. Here, the writing is more lyrical. As I kept reading, I constantly thought to myself, wow, this is stunning. I not only fell in love with the writing, but also with the themes of the book. I did not expect it to hit home as hard as it did. I'm also not much of a person to underline things, but this time I had to. I absolutely loved it. The book deals with the topic of not being a teenager anymore (rather in your late twenties) and still feeling lost and nowhere at home. With food and appearance (and many other things) we're taught to be in control while losing pleasure along with it. "Milk Teeth" will show you, that it is okay to want and feel pleasure. I absolutely adore this book and I hope you will too. (Jessica Andrews, thank you for letting me feel seen.) (P.S. A big part of the book is set in Barcelona, so it has some summer vibes.)

    Lapvona

My first Moshefh book and it was incredible. Although it is very hard to read, at times brutal and disgusting, it is so fascinating at the same time. It’s incredible how the author is able to show the raw but cruel instincts of human nature that still exist today through beautiful writing. My favorite book of the year so far.

    Convenience Store Woman

I've just read this book for the second time and loved it even more than the first time. What a woman. She's so strong and shows how being yourself is the only way to be. This is a very quick, funny and thought provoking read.

    Watch Over Me

This is a story you should know as little as possible about. All you should know is that it is extremely atmospheric, full of emotions and wonderfull character bonds. Also for all the BookTok lovers, I think this would be perfect for fans of “We were liars”. From now on I will read everything Nina LaCour writes.

    We Are Okay

This is a young adult novel that will stick with me for a very long time. I really love how grief and loneliness, and also friendship and sexuality, are depicted here. It is so realistic and relatable and emotional. It definitely deserves the hype. And yes, it is more for the older young adults. Read it, read it, read it (if you haven’t already)!

    The Girl from the Sea

A super super cute queer love story between a human girl and a selkie. The illustration style is so adorable, especially the eyes from the selkie girl. It has a beautiful message and seals. SEALS! They are the cutest animals ever! If you’re a “Heartstopper” Fan, please read this one too! It is heartwarming in the best way possible and sooooo adorable.
