Meine letzte Rezension Before I Knew I Loved You von Toshikazu Kawaguchi
Even though it’s already the sixth volume, it still feels like reading about this coffee shop for the first time! Four short stories about people who traveled back in time or into the future to meet the person they long to see again. As always, the stories are heartwarming and touching, exploring themes of love, family, and friendship, and how life can pull people apart. The rules stay the same… be aware of the women in white, you cannot leave the seat and drink the coffee before it gets cold!

Even though it’s already the sixth volume, it still feels like reading about this coffee shop for the first time!     Satoru und das Geheimnis des Glücks

    Ich mochte die Abschnitte, in denen aus der Sicht des alten Katers Nana geschrieben worden sind! Richtig typisch Katze. Es ist sehr bezaubernd und fliessend geschrieben, sodass man eine enstpannte Lesezeit hat. Auch die einzelnen Gefühle, Gedanken und Meinungen sind hier sehr schön dargestellt. Achtung! Für das Ende… Taschentücher bereithalten.

    Before the Coffee Gets Cold

    Those 4 short stories from a café, where you can time travel, are truly inspiring and profound. Also, each individual character is honestly well written. Their own special tales are so beautiful and so tragic at the same time. It’s really nicely written and easy to read through. Definitly recommended: Reading it with a cup of coffee or tea in a cozy evening.

    If Cats Disappeared from the World

    If you could let one thing disappear (forever) from the world to live one day longer, what would you pick? That’s what our protagonist had to ask himself. He only has a few months to live when he got to meet a so-called “devil”. He gave him this opportunity: one thing disappears from the world = one more day It’s fun, yet it makes you think about a lot of things which actually matter in life. I love how the author wrote such big things about life in such a simple way. It’s simply amazing. There is also a movie of the book. :)

    Das wandelnde Schloss

    Wenn ja, dann wird dich das Buch zum Film nicht enttäuschen! Es ist die gleiche Story noch mal ganz anders erzählt. Als ich das Buch gelesen habe, haben sich die einzelnen Filmszenen in meinem Kopf abgespielt. Was das Lesen noch viel schöner und interessanter gemacht hat. Falls nein, keine Sorge. Ich empfehle dir das Buch zu lesen und zusätzlich den Film zuschauen. Macht das Leseerlebnis noch viel magischer. Sophie ist die älteste Schwester und arbeitet in einem Hutladen. Das änderte sich eines Tages, als die Hexe aus dem Niemandsland sie besucht und sie verflucht. Es war ein Fluch, der Sophie in eine alte Frau verwandelt hat. Sie begibt sich jetzt auf den Weg, um sich wieder zurückzuverwandeln. Dabei trifft sie auf Howl und so entsteht ein grosses Abenteuer!
