To Teach A Spoiled Lady

Mag aus Berlin am 09.04.2021

Bewertungsnummer: 607332

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

Tracy Anne Warren's "The Wife Trap" is the second book in a trilogy about the identical twins Violet and Jeanette Brantford and their bluestocking friend Eliza Hammond. In book 1 "The Husband Trap" Jeanette caused a scandal, because she balked shortly before the altar and made her sister Violet marry her betrothed Adrian Winter, Duke of Raeburn, instead. Now, to punish the spoiled, arrogant, deceitful lady of society, her family sends Jeanette to some distant relatives in Ireland. A true punishment indeed! There are no friends, no admirers, no balls, no shops, no amusements. And worst of all there is a vexing Irish architect, who seems to delight in tormenting her. He dares to start working noisily early in the morning, and Jeanette is certainly not inclined to accept that! As the following battles of wits and mutual pranks finally lead to love, the proud lady must make her choice: marry the working Irishman because of love and learn how to cook and clean, or to give up love and remain a spoiled lady. Which way will she choose? And is the choice necessary at all??? - This second book of the trilogy is as delightful, amusing, and original as the first one. If you like to read regency romances, this certainly is a book you will love. I couldn't stop reading for hours.
