With candid text and never-before-published photographs, this dynamic yearbook captures the dramatic storylines, high quality of play, and enthusiasm of the crowd that characterize Davis Cup. Launched in 1900 as a match between the United States and Great Britain, Davis Cup has grown into the largest annual team competition in sports with more than 130 nations entered in the year 2003. And with Patrick McEnroe returning as the coach for a U.S. team that has advanced to the semifinals with Andy Roddick and James Blake in its lineup, the competition now generates more attention in the U.S. than ever before.
