A comprehensive, illustrated history of Pinewood, Britain's premier film studio and home of the James Bond movies. Pinewood has led the way in British film production since the mid-1930s. David Lean, Michael Powell, Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, Stanley Kubrick, Ridley Scott, and Brian De Palma are just some of the distinguished filmmakers who have looked to Pinewood for the production of some of their best-known movies. For this new edition, the Pinewood story has been fully updated to cover recent film productions. Compiled with exclusive access to the Pinewood archives, the book includes the studio's complete filmography, as well as 150 illustrations, including unpublished stills, behind-the-scenes shots, architects' plans, and rare memorabilia.
