""A View Of The Danger And Folly Of Being Public-Spirited, And Sincerely Loving One¿¿¿¿¿¿¿s Country"" is a book written by William Hamill in 1721. The book explores the concept of patriotism and public service, arguing that excessive devotion to one's country can lead to dangerous and foolish behavior. Hamill argues that individuals who are too focused on their country's interests may ignore the needs and rights of other nations, leading to conflict and war. He also suggests that those who are overly patriotic may be blind to the faults and flaws of their own country, preventing necessary reforms and improvements. Overall, the book offers a critical perspective on the idea of nationalism and encourages readers to consider the potential dangers of excessive patriotism. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
