Lucinda Seton returns to Charlotte Harris's finishing school for young ladies as a teacher to overcome her disappointment about a longtime childhood friend, who thought her not suitable to be his bride. This could be easily done, if there were not that dashing, handsome, Spanish magician, Diego Montalvo, who just moved in next door. He seems mightily interested in Lucy and tempts her mercilessly to bring out her wild Spanish side. She tries to avoid him, but to save her beloved school from a scandalous pleasure garden he wants to install on the bordering estate, Lucy has to deal with him frequently and can scarcely escape his sensual appeal. She doesn't know that Diego was sent by her grandfather, a Spanish marquess, who wants his estranged granddaughter brought back to him. Diego, constantly torn between his desire for Lucy and his duty to the marquess, who promised Diego to return his long lost family estate back to him, must decide, where his true destiny lies. Sabrina Jeffries delivers another catching story with amiable characters, surprising turns, and sensual love. I couldn't stop reading till the end.
