Abandon

Compared to other works by Blake Crouch, Abandon is disappointing. Highly praised in the media, I wanted to give this work a chance and form my own opinion. I enjoy reading stories involving time travel, especially when the present and past are well connected. In my opinion, this did not seem to be the case in Abandon. There are events that I didn’t find entirely coherent or comprehensible. Subplots that are left unfinished do not optimize the reading pleasure at all. I would have liked the resolution to be a little more in-depth. I would have preferred a few more pages, but the story of survival in the snow would have seemed more logical to me as a reader.
