""A Reply To The Criticisms By J. N. Barker, On The Historical Facts In The Picture Of Philadelphia (1828)"" is a book written by James Mease. The book is a response to criticisms made by J. N. Barker on the historical accuracy of Mease's previous work, ""The Picture of Philadelphia"". Mease, a physician and historian, defends his research and the accuracy of his account of Philadelphia's history. The book is a detailed rebuttal of Barker's criticisms, with Mease providing evidence and sources to support his claims. The book is an important historical document, shedding light on the debates and controversies surrounding the writing and interpretation of history in the early 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
