Of Vampires and Unicorns

Yes, that's right, unicorns... Pearl isn't one of those romantasized vampires who are dark, mysterious and sexy...well, okay, that's exactly how she is. Also, she is a badass with absolutely no regard to human emotions. That is until one night she gets stabbed by a unicorn. Suddenly oh-so-tough Pearl starts developing a conscience and stops seeing humans as merely a source of food... Furthermore she's suddenly able to stay outside during daytime and not spontaneously combust into flames. Naturally, her parents now insist on her enrolling in High School... I really liked this book. I liked the story, I liked the characters and I was especially curious about how a unicorn could possibly fit into a vampire book. When it all was revealed I nearly fell off my couch laughing. I recommend this book to everyone who's fond of vampire stories, but wants to read something new and not too mainstream.
