The aim of the book is to present an overview of the recent advances in Functional Data Analysis (FDA). The authors adopt a practical approach, presenting the fundamental techniques and models necessary to analyze functional data in a self-contained text. The text is therefore accessible to a wide audience ranging from professional statisticians to postgraduate students, including those with no background knowledge in the area.
