The hunters of Artemis are amazing! it’s interesting to see how Percy even thought he wasn’t allowed to join the quest still managed to follow them. Between Percy and Annabeths there’s tense silence both not sure how to handle their feelings towards each other. A really emotional book that contains love. Adventure and hard decisions

Ich kannte ganz lange nur den Anfang der Geschichte von Percy Jackson bzw. Buch 1. Die Erscheinung der Serie hat mich dann endlich dazu gebracht die gesamte Reihe zu lesen und ich liebe es so sehr. (Spoiler folgend) Man merkt mit jedem neuen Band, wie sich die Charaktere entwickeln und stärker werden. Auch wenn dieser Band deutlich düsterer ist, als die beiden vorherigen, geht die PJ Magie nicht verloren. Es gibt einige neue Charaktere, mit denen ich schnell warm werden konnte. Ich fand es auch echt gut, dass das Lotus-Casino aus Buch 1 nochmal vorkam und dass Bianca und Nico wirklich Jahrzehnte dort drin festsaßen. Und dann noch der Twist, dass Nico ein Sohn von Hades ist und somit auch er derjenige aus der Prophecy sein könnte. So eine mega Entwicklung. Es war sehr traurig, dass man sich von Bianca und Zoe schon wieder verabschieden musste. Ich glaube ich habe beim Tod eines Buchcharakters noch nie so sehr geweint wie bei Zoe. Wirklich sehr emotional, aber gut geschrieben. ✨

But that the tree would turn back to Thalia - the Thalia, the daughter of Zeus; the Thalia, who sacrificed herself to safe Annabeth and Luke from monsters; the same Thalia, who was therefore turned into a magical tree by Zeus - yeah THAT was not something he expected like AT ALL. Now there're two Demigods who could fulfil the big prophecy. But Percy has more problems. Annabeth was kidnapped during a mission and now has to hold up the sky - LITERALLY - and if she's not saved quickly she will die! But Percy is not allowed to go on the rescue mission - something he cannot allow! After all, Annabeth is his best friend! The third instalment of the series marks the real start of all the action. It's much more sinister and darker than the previous two. That doesn't mean that the charm of the last two books is missing here. Riordan manages to combine humour with gripping action, only this time, there's a shadow over it all - even if Apollo has a short and "bright" appearance.
