About the Book: The Indian Constitution assigns special status to the Scheduled Tribes (STs) traditionally referred to tribes or tribals. Scheduled Tribes constitute about 8% of the Indian population. Andhra Pradesh is the traditional home of nearly 33 tribal groups which are recognized among which 26 groups are found in Scheduled areas and predominantly in plain areas.
