Behnam Sadeghi joined Stanford as an assistant professor after obtaining a PhD from Princeton University. He is the author of The Logic of Law Making in Islam (Cambridge, 2013), "The Chronology of the Qur'an: A Stylometric Research Program" (Arabica), and "Sanaa 1 and the Origins of the Qur'an" (Der Islam). Asad Q. Ahmed is Associate Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies in the Department of Near Eastern Studies, the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of The Religious Elite of the Early Islamic Hijaz (University of Oxford, 2011) and Avicenna's Deliverance: Logic (Oxford University Press, 2011). He is also the co-editor of The Islamic Scholarly Tradition (Brill, 2010) and The Hashiya and Islamic Intellectual History (special issue, Oriens 41.3-4). Robert Hoyland is Professor of the Late Antique and Early Islamic History of the Middle East at the Institute for Study of the Ancient World, New York University. He is the author of Seeing Islam as Others saw it (Princeton, 1997), Arabia and the Arabs (London, 2001) and In God's Path: the Arab Conquests and the Creation of an Islamic Empire (New York, 2014). Adam Silverstein is Associate Professor of Middle Eastern History at Bar Ilan University. He is the author of Postal Systems in the Pre-Modern Islamic World (Cambridge University Press, 2007) and Islamic History: A Very Short Introduction (Oxford University Press, 2010). He is also the co-editor of Late Antiquity: Eastern Perspectives (Oxbow, 2012) and The Oxford Handbook of the Abrahamic Religions (Oxford University Press, Forthcoming).
