Coordination is the harmonization and integration of activities and responsibility to ensure that the resources of an organization are used most efficiently in pursuit of the specified objectives. Coordination is indispensable when multiple actors are involved in the pursuit of common goals. Efficient coordination is not achieved through individual action.
