Ein Standardwerk zu einem der größten Verbrecher der Menschheit. In einer für englischsprachige Geschichtsbücher typischen, anschaulichen Sprache beschreiben die Autoren den Aufstieg und das Ende von Heinrich Himmler. Erschreckend ist die bürokratische Genauigkeit, mit der Himmler und der NS-Apparat die Vernichtung der europäischen Juden vorantrieben. Das Buch liest sich wie ein Thriller und ließ mich zwischendurch immer wieder erschaudern bei dem Gedanken, dass die Geschichte war ist.
