Introduction to the Theory of Science and Metaphysics is a book written by Alois Riehl in 1894. The book is a philosophical work that provides a comprehensive overview of the theory of science and metaphysics. Riehl was a German philosopher who was interested in the relationship between science and metaphysics. In this book, he explores the nature of scientific inquiry and the role of metaphysics in understanding the world. The book is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theory of science, and the second part deals with metaphysics. In the first part, Riehl discusses the nature of scientific inquiry and the methods used to acquire knowledge. He explores the concept of scientific truth and the criteria used to evaluate scientific theories. Riehl also examines the relationship between science and philosophy, arguing that science is not a substitute for philosophy but rather complements it.In the second part of the book, Riehl turns his attention to metaphysics. He explores the nature of reality and the relationship between the physical world and the world of ideas. Riehl argues that metaphysics is an essential part of understanding the world and that it provides a framework for understanding the nature of reality. He also explores the role of metaphysics in ethics and aesthetics, arguing that it is necessary for understanding these areas of philosophy.Overall, Introduction to the Theory of Science and Metaphysics is a comprehensive and insightful work that explores the relationship between science and metaphysics. Riehl's arguments are well-reasoned and thought-provoking, making this book a valuable resource for anyone interested in philosophy, science, or metaphysics. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
