I had the book The Exchange, also by John Grisham, lying around for a long time, always with the thought that I want to read The Firm first. I finally managed to dive back into a judicial crime case. The Firm is one of the older books, but still worth reading- another case that not only plays out in the courtroom. It’s what makes his books interesting to read, bringing a court case out into the open; it lets the boredom dissipate and makes the reading flow much more smoothly. For people who are also interested in indulging in the film, I would recommend reading the book first and then watching the movie. There are similarities, but the differences have the most impact. I am still convinced that the book has the better approach. Now I can move on to The Exchange.
