Susana González Aktories is a PhD in Hispanic Philology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Since 1995 she has been a research professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM (Mexico) in the area of Literary Theory. Her research interests include comparative literature and semiotics, with an emphasis on relations between literature and other forms of art..
Susanne Klengel is a professor of Latin American Literature and Cultures at the Institute for Latin American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin since 2009. Her main research interests are contemporary Brazilian and Hispanoamerican literatures, avant-garde movements, transatlantic intellectual history, and South-South literary and cultural relations.
