In Burundi, 2015 was a year of socio-political crisis that affected many sectors of the country's life. Did the media, which consisted of 9 televisions, 23 local radios and 5 other community radios according to the National Council of Communication (CNC), successfully fulfill the role assigned to them? What were their strengths and weaknesses? By considering the conditions under which journalism is practiced, this book sheds light on the set of questions that are being asked about the role of the media in the peacebuilding process during and after the crisis.
