In this book the main character is a boy, who will help kids to learn how to be happy with themselves and within their own skin. This multi-racial children's book invites us to celebrate diversity, language, race and culture, finding beauty in everyone, no matter where in the world they are from, whether the race, the background, etc.
This bilingual English Yoruba picture book for kids does not only teach them to support one another to be the best they can be, but also to be proud of who they are and of their uniqueness. It shows that growing in diversity and kindness to oneself is what makes the world a better place. This Yoruba children's book teaches that happiness is not dependent on others and starts with loving yourself. Only through self-love and believing in oneself it is possible to be happy within.
Diverse books for toddlers and older children are especially important, as this is the time when kids start to recognise ethnic differences and when they can learn about the richness of diversity and multiculturalism.
