I really love the historic setting of this book as well as the dark and mysterious story. The characters are diverse and well written. The unique blend of detective story and historic setting works surprisingly well and the main characters are the cherry on top.

The book is really interesting and exciting to read June Hur is a great Author i now also follow her on Insta and read more of her books cuz this book really got me into reading again after reading it i also looked up the "memoirs of lady hyegyeon" which i also really liked (its a diary of lady hyegyeong in the joseon dynasting about living with her husband the prince and her life with the murders and everything. Back to June Hur and the book... the book is also about the joseon dynasty (i love watching kdrama btw so i was already a little interested in this kind of genre) about murder and at even a little bit romance but it really made me interested in the culture and the dynasty . yeah thats all i have to say hope someone read it :) Have a great day :) Bye
