I found “Things Don’t Break On Their Own” to be incredibly gripping: The author reveals the different parts of the story in a skillful manner so that the reader is trying to piece everything together themselves. This makes “Things Don’t Break On Their Own” a definite page-turner. There are several narrative perspectives which make the reader constantly question what is true and what not. Also, the question surfaces to what extent or rather whether at all memories are a reliable source of objective reality. This is due to the fact that memories alter just like the physical body and one’s appearance does. I highly recommend this novel!
